RandomDefinition was founded in Troy, Michigan by craftspeople who found themselves equally at home in a woodshop and a 3D modeling suite. The name reflects the way we work: the unpredictable beauty of natural grain, guided by the precision of digital motion.
We started with a single CNC router, a handful of hardwood species, and a willingness to take on projects other shops wouldn't touch. Over time, we grew our capabilities to include CNC plexiglass fabrication and full 3D printing and design services — not because the market told us to, but because our clients needed us to.
Today, we work with interior designers, architects, small businesses, and individual collectors across Southeast Michigan and beyond. Every project is treated as a collaboration. We don't just execute drawings — we help refine them.
Our studio is in Troy, Michigan. We ship finished work across the continental United States and offer local delivery and installation for larger pieces.
